NIE Teacher Advisory Board  

The Journal Star Newspaper in Education Teacher Advisory Board consists of non-NIE teachers and current NIE teachers and represents all grade levels.  The board assists the NIE program in ordering appropriate NIE teacher curriculum, and it is a sounding board for new ideas needed to help meet the needs of classroom teachers.  

The NIE Teacher Advisory board continues to look at ways the Journal Star can be an important educational tool for teachers and students in central Illinois.  

The board meets bi-annually at the Peoria Journal Star, 1 News Plaza, and Peoria, IL 61643.
